Beginners Intro to Ashtanga Yoga

This three-part series is designed for anyone looking to begin a yoga practice or for students with an existing practice who wish to revisit the foundation of their practice.  Tina will take mindful and slow steps to breaking down the various postures in the sequence while offering modifications to meet all abilities.   Students will learn sun salutations, standing and seated postures.  There will also be a brief exploration of the philosophy of Ashtanga yoga and lots of open time for questions.  Although it is not required to attend all three parts it is highly recommended.

This class is designed for 1 to 9 months (pre-crawlers only)
Learn techniques and special abdominal strokes designed to support coordination, balance and flexibility and ease symptoms of belly pain, discomfort, and digestive disturbances.
Gentle Movements are movements inspired by the principles of yoga. They are cross-lateral movements, which are vital for an infant’s development, especially the connections between the brain hemispheres. These Gentle Movements support coordination and balance.
Gas and Colic Routine teaches relaxation techniques, and massage strokes which can aid in the relief of gas expulsion, colic, constipation, and tension.
What to Bring: Please bring a blanket and whatever you will need for you and your baby to be comfortable (food, extra diapers, change of clothes, etc). A favorite toy can be helpful for busy hands.
What's provided: massage oil, take home illustrations, and a completion certificate will be provided for you.
